The Value of Travel

Oh, the places you’ll go…

Travel has always been something incredibly near and dear to me. Something about visiting a new location and experiencing its wonders has enchanted me ever since I was young and, now that I’m older, I plan to take that enchantment and run with it. I want to explore. I want to see all that I can in the time I have because I realize that life, like all things, is only temporary.

Life is short and that is why I am eager to get out there and see everything there is to see while I have the chance. Exploring new places no matter how near or far from home gives me such a thrill. It is like a become a new person when I travel. I become whoever I want to be when I am there. I become an explorer or a daredevil or a cultured scholar or a jaded local. I become whoever I wish to be for just a short while before I pack up my things and return to the comforts of home.

Travel allows me to grow and become more open. Open to new experiences, new people, new culture, new ways of life. No matter how close to home a place is, there are always going to be things to learn about and explore. The true value of travel do not come to from luxury resorts and amenities or out-of-this-world activities, but simply from experience. Traveling opens your eyes to a world beyond the familiar and brings you into something entirely new. Traveling gives you the freedom to explore yourself while exploring new and exciting places. Traveling gives you growth.

I plan to spend my life traveling as often as possible and appreciating the most unlikely of places. I plan to meet new people and learn about my travel companions along the way. I plan to learn things from experience, not only from classrooms or the pages of books. I plan to hike forest trails and visit museums and shop like a local and learn culture. I plan to grow.

I have so many places I plan to see and so many people I would love to experience those places with, but for now I’m dreaming and planning so that one day my journey will be the perfect one for me.

Expand your horizons and watch your world change~

Travelling indeed helps us grow. How about managing travel costs? I always find it expensive and definitely very expensive when travelling by air.

You don’t have to travel far to travel well. I feel like it is a wide misconception that you have to fly somewhere far off and stay for days to gain experience, but really, a day trip somewhere driving distance can give you a world of experience as well!
